The chakra system is a concept rooted in ancient Indian spiritual traditions, particularly within Hinduism and later adopted by various spiritual practices and alternative healing modalities. It involves the idea of energy centers, known as chakras, located along the spine, each associated with specific qualities and aspects of human experience. I like to think of the organs of the light body, that energetic field that we exude around us even when we are not Concious of so doing.

A chakra alignment meditation typically involves focusing on each chakra, one at a time, to balance and harmonize the flow of energy within the body. This may include visualization, breathing exercises, affirmations, or other mindfulness techniques. The focus is on the centre line through the body, in much the same way that the Chinese Meridian system looks at the physical body and the Kabalistic Tree of Life describes the Middle Pillar.
